General Study Area

In 2006, the general study as viewed on the Initial Build Alternatives Map included a portion of Boone, Winnebago, Ogle, Lee, McHenry, DeKalb, DuPage, Cook and Kane counties.

As the study progressed and as a result of the first level screening the general study area has been narrowed down as viewed by the First Screen Alternatives and Revised Study Area Map to more closely encompass those alignments that will be carried forward to the second level screening.
